Patsy J. McLaughlin Recognized for Excellence in Education
Patsy J. McLaughlin is the recipient of a Teacher of the Year award

HOUSTON, TX, November 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patsy J. McLaughlin, Librarian Media Specialist for Andy Dekaney High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

A social studies and English maven, Ms. McLaughlin has 36 years of field experience, including three years working as a librarian media specialist for the Andy Dekaney High School. In this position, her responsibilities include assisting teachers and students on research activities, promoting reading, instructing classes in technology, and offering aid to students and faculty on multimedia programs.

In 2001, Ms. McLaughlin received a Master of Library and Information Science from Sam Houston State University, and in 1983, she received a Master of Education with a concentration in curriculum and instruction from The University of Houston. She is a member of the Texas Library Association, the Texas State Teachers Association, Texas Computer Educators Association (TCEA), International Society for Technology Education (ISTE), and the Spring Education Association.
